Truck Driver Sought Hit-And-Run Crash Adams Boulevard
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 12, 2021) –The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the public’s help locating a hit-and-run driver in an early 1990s model white Chevrolet truck that struck a man on Jan. 4 who was fixing a bicycle on East Adams Boulevard.
Police circulated photos and video of the involved truck that severely injured a 47-year-old homeless man last week in the south Los Angeles area.
The victim was working on a bicycle in the street near the intersection with Nevin Avenue. The driver in the white truck equipped with framing on the sides turned the coroner and ran over him. The driver stopped briefly before driving away without helping the injured man or identifying themselves.
The driver left the scene heading west on Adams Boulevard.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded and rushed the injured man to the hospital with severe injuries, police said.
There is a standing award of $25,000 offered by the city to anyone who can provide information about the crash that leads to the suspect’s arrest and conviction. Witnesses may call Central Traffic Detectives at 213-833-3713.
