Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-run Crash

LEMOORE, Calif. (Sept. 11, 2023) — A hit-and-run driver in a semi-truck struck a motorcycle rider today on Highway 41 at Grangeville Boulevard in Lemoore.

The two-vehicle collision occurred around 9:56 a.m. on Sept. 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch report.

The rider went down in the roadway in the northbound lanes of State Route 41, just south of Grangeville Boulevard, the report said. Meanwhile, the semi-truck driver fled the scene without stopping to help the injured motorcyclist.

Paramedics with Kings County Fire responded and transported the motorcycle rider to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed moderate injuries from the collision.

A tow truck removed the motorcycle from the roadway.

Meanwhile, investigators are working on the case and seeking to locate the suspect in the semi-truck who fled. The motorcycle accident on Highway 41 is being investigated as a felony hit-and-run crash.
