OROVILLE, Calif. (August 18, 2023) – A hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened Thursday night at Lincoln Boulevard and Ophir Road in Oroville.
The collision occurred around 10:38 p.m. on August 17th, according to Action News Now.
A driver in a light-colored pickup truck similar to a Chevrolet or GMC reportedly struck the female pedestrian due to unknown circumstances, according to the Oroville CHP office.
At the time of the crash, the woman was walking near the edge of Lincoln Boulevard, police said. The motorist fled the scene without stopping to help the victim.
CHP officials are now requesting the public’s help as the seek to find the suspect and vehicle involved in the hit-and-run injury collision.
Paramedics responded and rushed the woman to a hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
