Man Hit and Injured by Vehicle at Compton Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue Thursday
East Compton, CA (January 22, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run collision that occurred in the area of Compton Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue Thursday.
CHP logged the crash shortly after 9:05 p.m.
According to the accident dispatch, a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the westbound side of Compton Boulevard. The collision took place near the intersection at Atlantic Avenue.
Responding medical personnel arrived at the location and checked the conditions of all parties involved. Officials later confirmed the pedestrian suffered injuries as a result of the incident. At the moment, the name of the victim and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.

Following the investigation, authorities confirmed the driver fled the scene. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident on Compton Boulevard.
