Pedestrian Injured in Hit-and-run Crash in City Heights
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (March 29, 2022) — A hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Home Avenue happened Saturday night in the City Heights neighborhood of San Diego County.
A driver in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck was traveling southbound on Home Avenue. The pickup struck reportedly woman pedestrian in the roadway about 11 p.m. on March 26th near Euclid Avenue, according to the San Diego Union Tribune. It’s unknown why the woman was in the roadway at the time or if she was in a crosswalk.
Upon impact, the woman was thrown several feet and suffered serious injuries. Paramedics transported her by ambulance to the hospital, police said.
San Diego police are now searching for the suspect who fled the scene of the pedestrian accident on Home Avenue.
