Woman Critically Injured in Crash in Millbrae
MILLBRAE, Calif. (May 28, 2024) — A pedestrian accident happened early Sunday on Millbrae Avenue and El Camino Real in Millbrae.
A 32-year-old Millbrae man reportedly struck a woman at around 5:50 a.m. on May 26th and then fled the crash scene without stopping to help the victim, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene, but the suspect had fled, the East Bay Times reports. However, they located the driver a few blocks away at his home, police said. The man was arrested and booked into the Maguire Correctional Facility on felony hit-and-run charges.
Meanwhile, the injured woman in her late 40s was transported to the San Francisco General Hospital. She is being treated for life-threatening injuries at the hospital.
