Road Rage Ends in Car Crash at 47th Street and Logan Avenue, San Diego
SAN DIEGO (January 23, 2018) – One person was injured after an alleged road rage ended in a car crash at 47th Street and Logan Avenue in Lincoln Park Monday afternoon.
According to On Scene TV, a man in a white Ford Explorer started throwing things including a glass bottle at a white van. Both were heading southbound on 47th Street.
When the two vehicles approached Logan Avenue at approximately 3:05 p.m., the Ford reportedly sped up and rammed the back of the van.
The impact forced the van to drive into the intersection where it was struck by a black car. The collision caused the van to flip and be thrown on top of a nearby vehicle.
Responding emergency teams were not able to locate the Ford vehicle and driver at the crash site. The man apparently continued driving following the incident.
Meanwhile, paramedics mentioned that a male person in the black car was the only person injured in the wreck. The man was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.
No details were disclosed on the conditions of other people involved in the hit-and-run crash.
The San Diego Police Department closed the intersection to give way to the investigation.
