Police Arrested Suspect in DUI, Hit-and-Run Near Target Store on Sunset Drive Friday
Hollister, CA (March 6, 2021) – Police arrested one person in relation with a car and bicycle accident that occurred near a Target Store in Hollister, the KION546 reported.
Our sources indicated a car show took place near the department store at Sunset and Hillcock Drive. During the gathering of several car enthusiasts, a vehicle struck a bicycle. At the moment, it remained unclear whether the bike was occupied or parked when the crash happened.

When officers arrived at the site, the found the vehicle dragging the bicycle behind. Police then attempted to pull over the driver but he sped away.
The news article said a pursuit ensued with the vehicle of the suspect apparently reaching speeds of 99 miles per hour. On-duty police ultimately apprehended the driver. Following an examination, officials arrested the driver for DUI, hit-and-run, and evading the police. The name of the suspect have not been revealed thus far.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the owner of the bicycle.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the bicycle accident in Hollister.
