1 Injured in Hollister Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 25 and Highway 156
HOLLISTER, CA (September 28, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash at Highway 25 and Highway 156 in Hollister.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place late Tuesday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 10 p.m.
The incident began when for an unknown reason a white big rig ran a red light in Hollister. The tractor-trailer then slammed into a Nissan Frontier.
CHP added that a gray Ford sedan became involved in the process. The vehicles crashed at the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 156.
Big Rig Runs Red Light, Hits Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of one of the cars involved who complained of pain as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel treated the victim for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not release the name of the patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the semi-truck failed to stop and fled eastbound on Highway 156. The Hollister hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced a stretch of Highway 25 at Highway 156 to shut down for a time following the incident.
