Motorcyclist Killed in Hollister Crash at Fairview and Santa Ana Valley Roads
HOLLISTER, CA (March 3, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed after a crash at Fairview Road and Santa Ana Valley Road in Hollister.
According to an article published by the KION News, the tragic accident took place on Tuesday evening. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:38 p.m.
The incident happened on March 1 when a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado was driving west on Santa Ana Valley Road, approaching Fairview Road, in Hollister.
At the same time, the motorcycle rider was going north on Fairview. The California Highway Patrol said the pickup truck then stopped at a stop sign in the intersection.
Car and Motorcycle Collide
After some time, the Chevrolet drove through the intersection and then collided with the motorcyclist. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the rider down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the person dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Silverado ended up unharmed or if they stopped following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Hollister crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the area of Fairview and Santa Ana Valley roads to shut down for a time after the incident. Anyone with information can call the CHP Hollister-Gilroy Area Office at (408)848-2324.
