Hollister Woman, 22, Killed 3 Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash
HOLLISTER, Calif., (July 30, 2026) — A tragic accident resulting in a fatality and major injuries occurred Thursday afternoon at Fairview Road and Comstock Road in Hollister.
UPDATE: the San Benito County Coroner’s Office has identified 22-year-old Florali Idelia Gabriel-Carrillo of Hollister as the woman who died at the scene.
The deadly collision occurred around 3:50 p.m. on July 30, 2026, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch log. The collision involved a white 2023 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck with a trailer, and a green 2025 Honda Civic sedan occupied by Florali Gabriel-Carrillo and two children.
Authorities received a report indicating a severe T-bone accident. The white pickup truck, which was towing a trailer, reportedly collided with the side of the green sedan, causing significant damage. Emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after 4:00 p.m., including units from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and local fire services.

Inside the green sedan, there were three individuals: an adult female and at least two children. Tragically, the 22-year-old Hollister woman, was found unresponsive and was reportedly not moving following the collision. The extent of injuries to the children remains undisclosed at this time, however, there were three air ambulances at the scene to transport another adult and both children to hospitals.
The incident forced the closure of all lanes in both directions near the intersection as authorities conducted their initial investigation and cleared the scene. Finally, the Hollister Police Department and CHP are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, and they urge any witnesses to come forward with information.
