Carlos Enrique Quevada Killed, Several Injured in Crash on 101 Freeway
DATE OF COLLISION: Saturday, January 12th
January 13, 2019 – One person was killed, and several others were injured in a traffic collision on the Interstate 101 Freeway Saturday morning, according to San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
Preliminary investigation revealed 20-year-old Carlos Enrique Quevada Jr. was driving a 2000 Acura sedan at an unknown speed in the No. 3 lane of the freeway at about 5:10 a.m. Investigators believed Queveda then lost control of the car and smashed into the concrete center median.
As per the article, Queveda was ejected during the impact, and came to a rest within the center median of the southbound lanes. Paramedics pronounced Quevada dead at the scene.
Multi-Vehicle Accident in Hollywood Saturday, Jan 12
Officials added as many as five other vehicles got involved in the wreck. Responding medical personnel reportedly transported three people to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The ages and genders of the victims were not immediately released.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
