Man Killed in Hollywood Hit-and-Run Near Wilton and Santa Monica
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 2, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Wilton Place and Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood.
According to an article published by My News LA, the tragic accident occurred on Thursday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:45 p.m.
The incident happened on April 1 when a male pedestrian was crossing Wilton Place and Santa Monica Boulevard in the Hollywood neighborhood.
Police said for an unknown reason, three vehicles struck him. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene.
Pedestrian Hit by Several Vehicles in Hollywood
Medical personnel found the man left lying on the ground as a result of the accident. They then rushed him to a hospital, where he died.
The name of the deceased man has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, two of the drivers involved stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
Police affirmed that the third motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officials described the suspect car as a white colored SUV.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver. They forced the intersection of Wilton and Santa Monica to close for a time following the Hollywood crash.
