5 Pedestrian Injured in Hollywood Hills Hit-and-Run Crash on Mulholland Drive
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 15, 2021) – Several pedestrians were injured after a hit-and-run crash on Mulholland Drive in Hollywood Hills.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and My News LA, the accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:05 p.m.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said a vehicle struck five pedestrians for an unknown reason. The driver hit them outside 7080 West Mulholland Drive in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the 101 Freeway. They found all five victims left wounded as a result of the collision.
Victims Hit by Car
Medical personnel rushed two patients, a 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl, to a hospital in critical condition. They treated the other three people at the site for minor injuries.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties. Meanwhile, officers affirmed that motorist did not stop to render aid to the people and fled the area.
They described the car involved as a white Honda Civic. Officers forced a stretch of West Mulholland Drive to shut down for hours following the collision.
The cause of the Hollywood Hills hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
