The crash was reported about 1:52 a.m. near Gramercy. The injured pedestrian was transported to a hospital with major injuries. The driver of a white 4-door car stopped and was cooperative with Los Angeles Police officers who were there to investigate the cause of the crash.
The LAPD’s West Traffic Division is heading up the investigation.
Los Angeles County Accident Statistics
There were 585 people killed and 50,917 injured in 2013 traffic accidents in Los Angeles County, according to the California Highway Patrol’s Statewide integrated Traffic Report. Some 211 of those deaths were pedestrians and 4,721 of them were injuries, the CHP statistics report said.
