HOLLYWOOD: Pedestrian Hit 101 Freeway Accident at Hollywood Boulevard
HOLLYWOOD, California (June 29, 2017) — A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Thursday morning as he walked across the southbound lanes of the 101 Hollywood Freeway, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash took place about 1:45 a.m. this morning. It’s unknown why the pedestrian was walking across the traffic lanes, just south of Hollywood Boulevard. Paramedics rushed the man by ambulance to USC County Hospital for treatment of major injuries. Jonathan Dulay, 34, of Chino Hills, who was driving a vehicle that struck the pedestrian, stopped his car and was questioned by police. No other people were hurt in the crash.
The accident is under investigation by police to determine liability.
