5 Injured in Hollywood Tour Bus Crash on Highland Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 8, 2023) – Several were injured after a tour bus crash on Highland Avenue in Hollywood.
According to the CBS Los Angeles and NBC Los Angeles, the accident took place late Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck on May 8 at about 11:15 a.m.
The incident happened when a Hollywood Bus Tours vehicle and a solar energy company cargo van collided for an unknown reason.
2 Vehicles Collide
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the two crashed in the 2300 block of Highland Avenue. The tour bus obtained front-end damage while the cargo van sustained damage to its passenger side upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found a total of five people hurt. The patients sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel evaluated and provided treatment to all the wounded parties at the site. The reports did not release the names of the victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Highland Avenue to shut down following the wreck. The cause of the Hollywood crash is still under investigation.
