Vehicle Hits Man on Kumeyaay Highway Saturday
Holtville, CA (July 3, 2021) – A pedestrian suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Interstate 8, also known as Kumeyaay Highway, Saturday morning.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a vehicle struck a male party on the right hand shoulder of the freeway in Holtville. Per CHP dispatch, the collision took place in the westbound side of I-8 near Holdridge Road. The make and model of the automobile involved in the catastrophic incident remained undisclosed.

Shortly after 3:25 a.m., medical personnel arrived the location and found at least one person unconscious. Paramedics rendered aid to the victim, and determined they sustained major injuries from the crash. Additional details on the injured pedestrian have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the pedestrian accident in Holtville.
