1 Killed in Homeland Crash at Highway 74 and Sultanas Road
HOMELAND, CA (August 28, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person at Highway 74 and Sultanas Road in Homeland.
The Riverside County Fire Department first logged the tragic accident on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:26 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Homeland. They crashed at the intersection of Highway 74 and Sultanas Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived and pronounced one individual dead at the scene. The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, Cal Fire did not mention if any other party ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Officers forced the area of Highway 74 and Sultanas Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
Officials are determining if alcohol, drugs or speed played a role in the incident. The cause of the fatal Homeland crash is still under investigation.
