At Least 1 Killed in Collision on Highway 74 at Cortrite Avenue Monday
Homeland, CA (August 23, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a fatal traffic accident that occurred on State Route 74 Monday morning.
Our sources indicated a big rig collided with a Chevrolet Camaro on Highway 74 at Cortrite Avenue. The force from the impact caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway. Officials said the truck ended up slamming into a tree.
When emergency teams arrived at the site, they found both the big rig and Chevrolet engulfed in flames. It remained unclear whether there were parties trapped in the wreckage.
Deadly Truck Accident in Homeland, August 23
Shortly after 1:05 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person sadly died in the crash. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators handling the case continue to work at this time to determine the precise cause of the fatal car and truck accident in Homeland.
