Pedestrian Injured in Homeland Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 74

HOMELAND, CA (September 7, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 74 in Homeland.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the incident at about 9:44 p.m.

CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Homeland. The driver hit the person on Highway 74.

Victim Hit by Vehicle

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Highway 74 to shut down following the accident.

The cause of the Homeland hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
