Vietnamese Woman Visiting U.S. ID’d as Crash Victim
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (Dec. 4, 2024) — Hong Ngoc Nguyen, 25, died in a crash Monday night at Ellis Avenue and Magnolia Street in Fountain Valley.
The young woman, who was visiting the U.S. from Vietnam, died following a crash resulting from a high-speed police pursuit of a suspect. It happened around 10 p.m. on Dec. 2nd, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Police were chasing an arson suspect’s pickup truck when it collided at high-speed with a white BMW SUV. The truck overturned onto its side and the BMW had major damage.
Paramedics from the Fountain Valley Fire Department responded and confirmed Hong Ngoc Nguyen dead, but rushed two others from her vehicle to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck, identified as 43-year-old Timothy Bradford Cole of Huntington Beach, was arrested on multiple charges.
