Motorcyclist Hit by Car Saturday on Highway 20
According to the Lake County News, Howard Reed Jr., 25, has been identified as the motorcyclist badly hurt following a motorcycle accident Saturday, May 6th.
The crash occurred at 10:15 a.m. on Highway 20 when Howard Reed Jr. was on his 94′ Kawasaki and struck by a vehicle driven by Janet Donner, 77, as he pulled onto the right-hand shoulder.
The impact caused major injuries to Reed Jr. who was flown to Santa Rosa Memorial outside of Lake County. His injuries included a compound fracture to both his left tibia and fibula as well as chest, back, and head injuries.
Neither Janet Donner or her passenger, a 74-year old, were injured following the collision.
Liability remains under investigation to determine who will be held at fault.
