Motorist Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash is Identified

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (Nov. 29, 2023) — Huber Cruz-Mendoza, 56, died in a crash on Highway 180 happened Monday night near Floyd Avenue in Fresno County.

The multi-vehicle traffic accident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 27th, according to a dispatch from the California Highway Patrol.

At least five vehicles were involved including a gray Honda sedan, a 2022 Toyota RAV4 SUV, a red 2016 Toyota Corolla, a Ford and a white work truck.

Paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash including two people with injuries and a third person identified as Huber Cruz-Mendoza who died at the scene. The Fresno County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim.

Finally, investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
