Hugo Macias Aguilar Killed in Loma Linda Crash on I-10 Freeway

One Killed; Four Injured in Loma Linda Collision on I-10 Freeway

LOMA LINDA, CA (Sept. 30, 2026) — Hugo Macias Aguilar, 28, of Loma Linda, died in a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Sept. 24th on the Interstate 10 Freeway near Mountain View Avenue in Loma Linda.

Four other people were injured in the collision involving three vehicles around 9:43 p.m. on Sept. 24th, 2026, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner report.

According to the California Highway Patrol the victim’s vehicle became fully engulfed in flames following the crash.

The Redlands Fire Department responded to the scene, but unfortunately the driver of the vehicle on fire died. Hugo Macias Aguilar was later identified as that driver and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner’s office.

Meanwhile, paramedics transported another person with injuries to the hospital, but they were not seriously hurt.

Three others were treated for minor injuries at the scene of the crash, according to the Redlands Fire Department.
