Hugo Morales, 38, Dies in Collision on 14 Freeway Near Escondido Canyon Road Wednesday
Los Angeles, CA (July 22, 2021) – Hugo Morales, a 38-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries following a car crash on 14 Freeway on July 21, Wednesday.
The KHTS News reported Hugo Morales, of Lancaster, was driving a white 2006 Toyota Tacoma heading north on the freeway. When the motorist approached the area near Escondido Canyon Road, Hugo Morales allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway.
Our sources indicated the Toyota crossed the right shoulder, and collided with a metal guardrail to the east of the roadway. The force from the impact caused the vehicle to overturn. During the crash, Hugo Morales was reportedly ejected.

Shortly after 3:50 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the site and found the driver lying on the ground. Paramedics tended to the man before they pronounced Hugo Morales dead at about 4:18 p.m.
Authorities added a female passenger in the Toyota escaped death with moderate injuries. An air ambulance transported the patient to Henry Mayo Hospital for treatment.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon to investigate several factors surrounding the unfortunate event.
