Humboldt County: Car Accident on Highway 101

Minor Injury Collision Near Avenue of Giants

Humboldt County, CA (February 18, 2023) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on State Route Highway 101.

The California Highway Patrol group reported two cars collided in the northbound side of the highway near Avenue of Giants. CHP logged the case on February 14, Tuesday.

Shortly after 1:16 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the accident scene. First responders found a red Toyota Tacoma, and a silver sedan both with significant damage.

At Least 1 Hospitalized After Crash on Highway 101 in Humboldt

Medical personnel rendered aid to all the occupants in the both cars involved in the wreck. After the evaluation, officials confirmed one person sustained minor injuries in the collision. Paramedics transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the traffic accident that happened on Highway 101 in Humboldt County.
