2 Injured in Humboldt County Crash on Shelter Cove Road Near Kings Peak
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (April 24, 2022) – A car crash left two people injured on Shelter Cove Road in Humboldt County.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Sunday evening. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck at about 5:52 p.m.
The accident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason. The KYMKEMP wrote that the cars crashed head-on on Shelter Cove Road near the intersection with Kings Peak Road.
2 Cars Collide
CHP described the vehicles as a gray Toyota 4Runner and a blue sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene in the Shelter Cove area of Humboldt County.
A total of two individuals ended up hurt as a result of the collision. Officers confirmed that one patient sustained major injuries upon impact.
Medical personnel then took that victim to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced a stretch of Shelter Cove Road to shut down for several hours following the wreck. The cause of the Humboldt County crash is still under investigation.
