Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Humboldt County Crash on Old Arcata Road
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, CA (June 9, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist near Old Arcata Road and Indianola Road in Humboldt County.
The KYMKEMP wrote that the accident took place on Wednesday evening, June 8. The California Highway Patrol reported the wreck at about 5:44 p.m.
CHP said the rider of a Suzuki motorcycle and a Nissan pickup truck collided for an unknown reason in Humboldt County. The two crashed Old Arcata Road near the intersection with Indianola Road.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the motorcyclist who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the car ended up hurt or if they stopped following the incident. Officers forced both lanes of Old Arcata Road to shut down north of the cutoff after the wreck.
The cause of the Humboldt County crash is still under investigation.
