Major Injury Crash on Highway 96 Near Weitchpec Road

September 21, 2018 – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision on Highway 96 Friday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.

At 5:11 p.m., a motorcycle and another vehicle of unspecified built and type reportedly collided in the 2311 block of Highway 96 near Weitchpec Road.
The CHP logged the crash as a major injury accident, but no immediate information was released on the victims.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle was reportedly found at a store in the area of Bluff Creek. Several factors surrounding the collision remained unclear at this time, further investigation is underway.
