
A young boy was hit by a car in Huntington Beach.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, California (August 7, 2017) — A boy riding his bicycle through an apartment complex was injured Sunday morning when he was struck by a driver at Delaware Street and Atlanta Ave, according to the Orange County Register.
The child, who is about 4 or 5 year old, was struck about 9:25 a.m. and dragged a short distance by the vehicle.
Paramedics with the Orange County Fire Department responded and rushed the injured boy to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Huntington Beach Car Accident Investigation
An investigation into what led to the bicycle accident and liability is underway by Huntington Beach police investigators. As part of their investigation, police will seek to find out whether the driver was negligent due to his or her actions. They will piece together what happened and will assign fault to one or both parties.
