SUV, Car in Crash on Interstate 405 Freeway in Orange County
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (Dec. 27, 2023) — A two-vehicle car accident happened Wednesday morning on the 405 Freeway, just north of Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach.
The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the freeway at around 7:18 a.m. on Dec. 27th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials responded to the crash between a gray Toyota Prius and a tan GMC Yukon SUV. The SUV was reportedly facing the wrong way in the HOV lane/FasTrak lane and the Toyota was pulled over on the right shoulder of the freeway, the report said.
It’s possible the SUV also collided with the center divider wall, the report said.
The CHP report stated the driver from the SUV “appears to be slumped over the wheel.”
Paramedics are responding at this time and there is no further information.
An investigation will determine fault and liability for the collision.
