Man, 45, Fatally Struck by Patrol Car at North Pacific Avenue and Broadway
Huntington Beach, CA (August 27, 2022) – A 45-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of North Pacific Avenue and Broadway.
The KTLA News reported a Huntington Beach Police officer was behind the wheel of a patrol vehicle traveling in the Sunset Beach neighborhood early Saturday morning. According to the article published online, the officer struck a pedestrian at the intersection of North Pacific Avenue and Broadway.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Huntington Beach
Shortly after 5:30 a.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, then transported him to a hospital. The patient later sadly succumbed to his injuries and died. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the deputy involved in the catastrophic incident.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate liability in the deadly pedestrian accident that happened at North Pacific Avenue and Broadway.
