At Least 1 Hurt in Car Crash on San Diego Freeway at State Route 39 Sunday
Huntington Beach, CA (July 18, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run car crash that occurred on Interstate 405, also known as San Diego Freeway.
Initial records indicated a two or more vehicles crashed in the southbound side of the freeway in Huntington Beach. The collision took place near State Route 39, also known as Beach Boulevard.
According to the dispatch, the wreck involved a rental vehicle. The make and model of the automobiles found at the scene have not been revealed thus far.
CHP logged the incident shortly before 10 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the accident scene, they immediately rendered aid to the possible victims. Authorities later confirmed at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the incident. Additional information on the victim remained undisclosed.

Investigators later mentioned a person involved in the collision fled the scene before police arrived. Detectives continue to work at this time to identity the suspect in the hit-and-run crash in Huntington Beach.
