HUNTINGTON BEACH: Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Beach Boulevard

 fatal Huntington Beach pedestrian accidentHUNTINGTON BEACH, California (June 29, 2016) — A 53-year-old man was struck by a minivan and killed Tuesday night as he walked across Beach Boulevard at Newman Avenue, according to the Orange County Sheriff Coroner.

The crash took place about 9:37 p.m. last night as the man attempted to cross Beach Boulevard in a westerly direction, police said. The male pedestrian was critically injured in the crash and rushed to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, but he died of his injuries about 10:15 p.m.

Police say the 2000 Dodge Caravan was traveling southbound on Beach Boulevard at the time of the crash with the pedestrian.

There were no arrests made and the crash is under investigation to determine liability.
