Man, 28, Killed in Huntington Park DUI Hit-and-Run on Alameda Street
HUNTINGTON PARK (October 21, 2018) – A scooter rider was killed after an alleged DUI hit-and-run crash along Alameda Street early Sunday morning, according to CBS Los Angeles and Whittier Daily News.
The accident took place shortly before 2 a.m. in the 7000 block of Alameda Street.
As per the article, Huntington Park police said a 28-year-old man was riding a Vesta-type scooter on Alameda Street near Florence Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved initially fled the area but later return in an attempt to retrieve his front bumper.
The suspect, 30-year-old Hawthorne man, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit and run, felony drunken driving and vehicular manslaughter and was taken into custody.
