4 Men Killed in South Gate Crash on 710 Freeway
SOUTH GATE, Calif. (May 22, 2019) – Four young Bell men were killed early Wednesday morning their car crashed into a pole after they swerved off the northbound Long Beach (710) Freeway.
Hussein Ahmad Ghasham, 20; Hussein Yasser Saab, 24; Hussein Moussa Ayoub, 22; and Hussein Ali Saleh, 22, all died in the collision. At this time, we do not know which one was driving the 2014 BMW M5 they were riding in.
The vehicle was reportedly speeding when the crash occurred at 3:15 a.m. collision near the Firestone Boulevard exit. All four young men were confirmed dead by firefighters who responded to the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The BMW was found wrapped around the pole next to the freeway. Witnesses say the BMW and other vehicles were racing prior to the crash, but police have not confirmed whether street racing caused the accident. Police do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert for the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes for an unknown duration.
