2 Killed After Car Plows Into Building on West 66th Place
LOCATION: Hyde Park, Los Angeles
DATE OF ACCIDENT: Sunday, December 16th
December 16, 2018 – A double fatal car crash occurred on West 66th Place, just east of Crenshaw Boulevard, Sunday morning, according to KTLA and ABC News.
At approximately 9 a.m., a sedan was reportedly seen speeding down the 6600 block of South Crenshaw Boulevard. The driver of that vehicle apparently lost control after hitting a fire hydrant and light pole in the area. The impact then forced the sedan to slam into a building in the 3000 block of W. 66th Place.
Deadly Car Crash in Los Angeles County’s Hyde Park Sunday
Primary reports indicated both the male driver, and the female passenger in the car were ejected during the impact. Responding paramedics pronounced both parties dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, it was not immediately clear if there were people inside the building when the crash happened.
Emergency crews shut down Crenshaw Boulevard between 65th Street and 68th Street following the incident. Further investigation on the case is underway.
