Pedestrian Ignacio Alejandro Razo, 33, Killed in Kern County Crash on Highway 119
KERN COUNTY, CA (May 29, 2023) – Ignacio Alejandro Razo was killed after a pedestrian crash on Highway 119 in Kern County.
The coroner’s office identified the 33-year-old Bakersfield man as the victim in the fatal accident which took place on May 15.
The incident happened when Ignacio Alejandro Razo was walking on Highway 119, east of Hughes Lane, in Kern County. The California Highway Patrol said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him.
The Bakersfield Californian and Kern Golden Empire wrote that the collision occurred at about 10:07 p.m. Ignacio Alejandro Razo sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident.
Paramedics rushed the patient to the Kern Medical, where he soon died. Meanwhile, the reports did not mention if the driver involved stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.
Officers forced a stretch of Highway 119 to shut down for a time after the accident. The cause of the Kern County crash is still under investigation.
