Minor Injury Collision on State Route 111 in Imperial
IMPERIAL, Calif. (August 16, 2024) — A minor injury car accident in Imperial happened Friday morning on Highway 111 at East Aten Road.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 10:39 a.m. on August 16th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a grey Kia Forte and a white Nissan Sentra collided and were blocking the southbound numbers one and two lanes of the highway, the report said.
One person had a neck injury and two others had complaints of pain, but were walking around and there were no serious injuries, the report said.
Paramedics from the Imperial County Fire Department responded and transported one person to a hospital for further evaluation and treatment, the CHP said.
Tow trucks removed both damaged vehicles from the highway and investigations are working to determine fault for the Imperial crash on Highway 111.
