Imperial County: Bicycle Accident on Evan Hewes Highway

Major Injury Collision at Evan Hewes Highway and Barbara Worth Road

Imperial County, CA (March 10, 2023) – A female bicyclist suffered injuries following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Evan Hewes Highway and Barbara Worth Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a woman riding a bike collided with a white vehicle at the intersection in Imperial County. The crash took place on March 8, Wednesday, around 9:30 a.m.

Cyclist Badly Hurt in Imperial County Crash

Our sources indicated the female cyclist was crossing the intersection when the collision happened. Due o the force from the impact, the woman sustained serious injuries. Responding paramedics rendered first aid to the victim, and possibly transported her to a hospital for further treatment. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened at Evan Hewes Highway and Barbara Worth Road.
