
IMPERIAL COUNTY, Calif. (Feb. 6, 2023) — A two-vehicle car accident happened early Monday on State Route Highway 86 near Desert Shores Drive, north of Thermal.
The collision occurred in the northbound lanes about 4:39 a.m. on Feb. 6thin the unincorporated Desert Shores area of Imperial County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A driver reportedly rear-ended a red Toyota Camry on the freeway due to unknown circumstances.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with minor injuries from the collision, but there are no further details.
Tow trucks removed the vehicles including the Toyota with major rear-end damage.
Investigators will piece together what happened and determine fault.
