Woman Killed in Traffic Collision at Willoughby and Dogwood Road Tuesday
Calexico, CA (August 3, 2021) – One person died following a car accident that occurred in the area of Willoughby and Dogwood Road, the Imperial Valley Press reported.
On Tuesday, at about 3:36 p.m., two vehicles collided at the Calexico intersection. Officials identified the cars found at the scene as a maroon Jeep Compass and a white pickup truck.
Our sources indicated the crash sent the two automobiles careening towards the canal at the crossing of Willoughby and Dogwood. The article published online mentioned the Jeep, possibly with occupants, ended up completely submerged.
Fatal Car Crash in Calexico, August 3
Shortly after 4:08 p.m., rescue teams found an unconscious female party in the water. Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
No immediate information was available on the other parties involved in the wreck.
At this time, investigation continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the deadly car accident in Calexico.
