INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (July 2, 2018) — Driver, Eber Leonidas, 18, of Indian Wells, crashed into a tree on Highway 111 early Sunday morning in an alleged DUI crash that left him and his front-seat passenger badly injured.
The collision took place about 2:20 a.m. in the 77000 block of Highway 111. The Indian Wells Police Department responded to the collision and found Leonidas and his passenger injured. The passenger suffered major injuries and Leonidas had moderate injuries. They were both transported by ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center.
Police determined that Leonidas was likely driving under the influence of alcohol. Additionally, they believe he was driving at a high rate of speed at the time of the collision with a palm tree.

At this time, it appears that the woman who was arrested will be deemed at fault for this collision.
