Man Seriously Injured in Indian Wells Crash Fred Waring and Eldorado Drives
INDIAN WELLS, CA (July 6, 2021) – A car crash seriously injured a man at Fred Waring Drive and Eldorado Drive in Indian Wells.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:58 p.m.
The incident began when three vehicles were stopped at the red light in Indian Wells. At the same time, a car was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Speeding Driver Hits Stopped Cars
The Riverside County Sheriff Department said the speeding driver then slammed into the three vehicles. They collided at the intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Eldorado Drive.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and extricated one trapped male occupant from the wreckage. He sustained major inquires as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon took the man to the hospital for treatment. Officials did not release his name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced several lanes of Fred Waring and Eldorado to shut down for more than an hour following the wreck. The Indian Wells crash is still under investigation.
