2 Seriously Injured in Indio Crash Near Avenue 44 and Sola Street
INDIO, CA (August 21, 2021) – Two were hospitalized after a car crash near Avenue 44 and Sola Street in Indio.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 1:30 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Indio. They crashed near the intersection of Avenue 44 and Sola Street.
2 Vehicles Collide, Overturn
Both vehicles rolled over upon impact near the Wallace memorial Baptist Church. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then extricated two trapped occupants from the wreckage.
Medical personnel took the patients to the hospital, for treatment of moderate to major injuries. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police forced the area of Avenue 44 and Sola Street to shut down following the wreck. Authorities are still determining the cause of the Indio crash.
