Indio: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 10

Truck Strikes, Kills Man Near Jackson Street

Indio, CA (April 24, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Interstate 10 Freeway and Jackson Street.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Indio

The Riverside County Fire Department reported a semi truck hit a person in the eastbound lanes of the freeway in Indio. According to the dispatch, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the collision. Responding paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 10 :07 p.m.; and immediately performed life-saving measures to the victim. Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, information on the truck driver involved in the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far.

Several factors surrounding the deadly accident remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led up to the fatal collision that happened on Interstate 10 in Indio.
