Indio crash Hoover Fred Waring
1 Killed, 5 Injured in Indio Crash Near Hoover Avenue and Fred Waring Drive
INDIO, CA (June 24, 2022) – A car crash killed one person and injured several others near Hoover Avenue and Fred Waring Drive in Indio.
According to the KESQ News and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6:30 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Indio. The cars crashed near the intersection of Hoover Avenue and Fred Waring Drive.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then freed two trapped occupants from the wreckage. They soon pronounced one individual dead at the scene.
A total of five people ended up suffering from moderate injuries as a result of the collision. An air ambulance took one patient and ground ambulances rushed the others to the hospital for treatment.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Hoover and Fred Waring to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Indio crash is still under investigation.
