Woman Killed in Indio Apparent Hit-and-Run on Highway 111 Near Clinton Street
INDIO (February 4, 2020) – A pedestrian was killed after an alleged hit-and-run collision along Highway 111 early Monday, February 3.
According to an article published by NBC Palm Springs, officers received a call about the fatal accident at around 2:30 a.m. west of Clinton Street.
Police said an adult female pedestrian was apparently crossing on the south side of Highway 111 when for an unknown a vehicle struck him.

Paramedics responded to the site and found the body of the woman lying in the roadway as a result of the crash. They pronounced her dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police believed that driver who apparently hit the woman did not stop and took off.
Officers forced Highway 111 to shut down between Madison and Clinton streets until about 8 a.m. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
