INDIO, California (March 26, 2015) — A woman was injured in a collision involving a truck and an SUV Thursday morning on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway at Indian Avenue, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The 8:13 a.m. crash involved the drivers of a white Nissan pickup truck and a black Chevrolet Suburban SUV. The pickup truck landed on the right side and the SUV was in the center divider and facing the wrong way. A woman driving the pickup truck managed to drive the vehicle away from the scene, but a woman in the SUV was apparently injured in the crash and her SUV required a tow truck.
Paramedics responded to assist the injured woman and police are investigating the cause of the crash.
